Wendy Wright

Wendy Wright will receive her Master of Dispute Resolution
degree from Pepperdine University School of Law (Straus
Institute of Dispute Resolution) in August 2007. She also holds a
Master of Public Administration Degree from USC, and a Bachelor
of Arts degree in Psychology from UCLA. In addition, she will be
receiving a PhD from UCLA in Anthropology in December 2007.  
She will be receiving her GG (Graduate Gemologist) diploma in
December 2007. Wendy is also in the Environmental Design
Program at UCLA Extension.

MEDIATION EXPERIENCE:
Wendy is the Clinic Manager of the Pepperdine Dispute Resolution
Clinic and mentors 2nd and 3rd year law students who mediate
small claims and civil harassment disputes for the Los Angeles
Superior Court.  On a weekly basis, she also mediates disputes in
Limited Jurisdiction for California Academy of Mediation
Professionals (CAMP). She has mediated just under 200 disputes
either through the Los Angeles Superior Court or privately.
Wendy’s private mediation cases include divorce and family
mediation; as well as business, collections, consumer, real estate,
home construction & remodeling, property damage, workplace
and art disputes.  In addition, Wendy has provided organizational
consulting to Los Angeles County Department of Nursing; and
the City of Fullerton.

MEDIATION TRAINING:
In addition to her Master’s Degree, Wendy has completed nearly
300 hours of mediation training including professional workshops
(or private training) at Pepperdine University;  Center for Dispute
Resolution (Ken Cloke), Lee Jay Berman (Institute for Mediation
Studies), Mosten Mediation (Woody Mosten),  California Academy
of Mediation Professionals (Cynthia Greer), Harvard Negotiation
Insight Initiative (Erika Fox), Mediation Center of Calabasas
(Wendy Forrester), Valley Mediation Services (Jan Frankel Schau);
and Factor Mediation (Max Factor III)..

PRESENTATIONS:
Wendy has provided training to Ventura Center for Dispute
Services (VCDS); and USC Law School Dispute Resolution Clinic in
the area of small claims mediation; as well as for cases in the Civil
Harassment Mediation Program.

MEMBERSHIPS:
Wendy is an active member of the Southern California Mediation
Association (SCMA) and Chair of Events and Programs.  She is
currently planning a Family Law Mediation Conference for October
4, 2007 at the Skirball Cultural Center.

OTHER EXPERIENCE:
Wendy has been a university administrator for 20 years; has
remodeled several historic buildings, and is a diamond wholesaler
and pearl importer.
